New kid in Town! Ramen Cool @ SM Manila

Sorry for the long wait! I've been necessarily occupied for a couple of weeks. I've been meaning to post something soon but I also would want to post something that would redeem me back to you guys. So, I present to you, Ramen Cool.

Ramen Cool's menu

That time, I was really looking forward to eating at Red Table since I wanted something spicy. But I just couldn't resist anything Japanese. Especially if it's new and their sign specifically says Ramen. So, I go in and try what they offer. The place can easily be described as modern Japanese.

Love the interiors <3

I immediately settled myself to a nice corner nook and the waitress handed me their menu. I am immediately drawn to it. Before I know it, I am browsing off to their well detailed menu and was already feeling giddy because they all look oishii. I settled for Nabeyaki Ramen since the waitress said it was one of their best sellers, an order of Hiyashi Chuka Ramen and their highly coveted California love maki. For my drink I chose their Cool Mango. And it is also worth noting that the waitress was kind enough to answer all my queries.

The service was pretty fast. It took around ten minutes for the whole set to arrive. First came my California love maki. It consisted of eight California maki's with a twist: lots of Kani on top! I immediately went on to make my dipping sauce when I noticed something new.

This photo cannot even do justice to how I enjoyed this appetizer

They have this spice called Tongarashi. I did a little research since that was the first time I encountered it. According to http://www.thekitchn.com/shichimi-togarashi-191405, Togarashi was originally sold by herbal medicine shops in the 17th century, shichimi togarashi (literally "seven flavor chile pepper") is a spicy-savory blend of coarsely ground chilies plus varying ingredients depending on the region, manufacturer, and cook. Some Japanese vendors even offer custom blends.

I then tasted the Hiyashi Chuka Ramen. The noodles were indeed cold and the broth (or sauce?) used was sweet. This is indeed a nice treat for summer.

Highly recommended.

The Nabeyaki Ramen was a sight to behold. It was served in a huge bowl good enough for three! They didn't scrimp on the sides as the dish itself is filled to the brim.

Nabe-yummy!

I'll admit I had a hard time consuming all of these and I call myself a die hard fan of anything Japanese lol! The price wasn't hard on my wallet either as the bill only totalled to 800plus pesos. Not bad for a meal that can satisfy four people.

The verdict:

Place- 5/5 I love the interiors. So modern Japanesque!

Food- 5/5 Bang for the buck. Big time.

Service- 5/5 The staff were friendly and prompt. They assisted me with everything I need. No complaints here!

So again, if you are near SM Manila and is craving for Japanese. Stop by Ramen Cool located at the 4th floor. Cheers!
